Updated at 12:02 p.m.: Oakland police reports that the surveillance camera in CVS shows a masked man walking to the counter this morning, then leaving through the rear doors of the building before the police arrived to the scene.
An Oakland SWAT team has cleared the CVS building, and access to the store should resume shortly.
Police are investigating the suspect.
Updated 10:30 a.m.: Oakland police surrounded the perimeter of the building and Oakland Police SWAT team is preparing to issue commands to the possible gunman(s) inside.
Breaking: Oakland police reported a possible gunman entering the CVS Market on 51st Street and Broadway early this morning. Employees inside CVS were safely evacuated, according to Oakland Police Department.Broadway remains open to traffic, but commuters are advised to avoid the area.
