tragic situation, so we're very concerned about it."
Earlier this week, we told readers about the East Bay couple that was indicted for trafficking teenage girls and forcing them into prostitution. Mahendar "Mike" Singh, 40, and his wife Helen Jean Singh, 22, were
indicted on Dec. 1, and charged with recruiting young girls and promising them money, drugs, and a family-like environment. They also

Mahendar Singh pleaded not guilty on Tuesday, and Helen Singh is scheduled to appear in court today.
If convicted, the not-so-happy couple could receive life in prison.
