A San Francisco man is in critical condition today after he was brutally stabbed in the head when he tried to get his cellphone back from a robber early this morning.

The victim, a 28-year-old man, was standing on the 700 block of Eddy Street in the Tenderloin when the suspect walked up to him and asked to borrow his cellphone. The victim, being polite, let the strange man use his phone, until the suspect started to walk off with it, according to police.

When the victim asked the suspect for his phone back, the suspect turned around, stabbed the man in the right side of his head, and ran off with the cellphone in hand.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect was only described as a Hispanic man.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
