Everyone entering the festival grounds with a camera was asked to sign a statement promising not to photograph someone smoking pot with City Hall in the background. "We're working on revitalizing our downtown," Mayor Jean Quan explained. "The last thing we want is" a jumpy corporate exec in Iowa to see this and not bring businesses in, she added.


These ladies drew a crowd wherever they went.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
