* The episode ends with Zito, King of the Bros, giving some words of wisdom in a short montage over the closing credits. Topics are included but not limited to: The importance of superstitions involving wearing pink underwear on game days, saying that he "heard one time that anger is frustrated love," and pretty much any other piece of dime-store zen philosophy you can think of.
* Showtime claims that the Poseys live in San Francisco, but his house is close to a forest and they appear to have no neighbors. Then he crosses the Bay Bridge to get to the ballpark. It's okay to say that someone lives in Walnut Creek, guys.
* Brandon Belt gets a short moment in the spotlight after his two-homer game in Miami, and you can tell that they wanted to showcase his story during the series. He's honest about how tough it's been to yo-yo back and forth between the majors and minors this year, but he also says he's anxious to use the rest of the season to his advantage.
* Cody Ross's wife is thrilled to be back in Miami! She also says that San Francisco is cool, or something. Something tells me she's not a Democrat.
* Kristin Posey thinks that Scott Cousins acted improperly on the play that injured her husband. He makes it clear that he does not share her opinion.
* The episode's funniest moment comes when Matt Cain waits for a haircut along with several Spanish-speaking players. He's not sure what they're saying, but he thinks they're making fun of his weight.
Eric Freeman has lived in San Francisco his entire life. He writes daily for Yahoo!'s Ball Don't Lie NBA blog and is one of the authors of FreeDarko's The Undisputed Guide to Pro Basketball History.
He did not speak about the 2002 World Series at length until four hours
after the Giants beat the Rangers last fall. Follow him on @freemaneric.
