Ricky Tims Identified as Man Shot in Visitacion Valley

Medical authorities identified the 18-year-old man who was shot to death last last week as Ricky Tims, a San Francisco resident.

Tims was standing on the 200 block of Rey Street at about 10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18 when two men approached and fired several shots before running away, police sad.


He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he died shortly before 2 a.m. Friday.


Police had no further details on the case. The shooting brings the city's homicide count to 31 this year. In July, 20-year-old Sean Everette Wilson was shot and killed in Hayes Valley.
