An 18-year-old man was shot to death while standing on the sidewalk in Visitacion Valley, police said.

The man -- who has not yet been identified -- was on the 200 block of Rey Street at about 10 p.m. when two men approached and fired several shots before running away.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and died shortly before 2 a.m. Friday, according to police.

The shooting brings the city's homicide count to 31 this year. In July, 20-year-old Sean Everette Wilson was shot and killed in Hayes Valley.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
