San Francisco police have arrested a 42-year-old transient in connection with a cold case murder in Denver, Colo. seven years ago.

On July 29, police say they received information that Billy Jene Wilson was at a specific location in San Francisco. At about 1:45 p.m., officers went to a residential hotel on the 1600 block of Market Street, where they arrested him. He was booked on homicide and kidnapping charges and has waived extradition, police said.

Denver police have been looking for Wilson since the morning of Aug. 21, 2004, when he allegedly attacked Gina Gruenwald, 27, in the 1700 block of Lafayette Street. She had been out with friends at a nightclub and was last seen being dropped off onthe 1300 block of Humboldt Street.

Her body was found the next morning with stab wounds in her neck.

Wilson was arrested in San Francisco earlier this year on unrelated charges. Police took a DNA sample and entered it into the national DNA database.

Wilson is expected to return to Denver in the next few weeks.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
