The crime scene extends from the Marina Safeway and the Marina parking lot and then to Bay Street two blocks south.

Original Post 9:05 a.m.:

Police discovered the body of a fully clothed man floating in the San Francisco Marina near Fort Mason early this morning, with a trail of blood nearby, according to media outlets.

Police told reporters

that they received a call Monday  at about 10:30 p.m. from someone

who reported a fresh trail of blood across the pavement on

Buchanan Street. Officers searched the area, but found no victims.

Police received another call this morning at about 6:30 from someone who said they spotted a man's body floating in the water near a pier at Fort Mason.

Investigators found the body and then located more blood outside the post office at Beach and Buchanan streets. They followed the trail of blood, which led them to a spot close to where

the body was found, Lieutenant Troy Dangerfield told reporters.

"The trail goes all the way across the street toward the pier," he said.

Police closed traffic during the morning commute as they investigated the mysterious death.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
