Britney Campbell, the 8-year-old girl whose mom injected her with Botox, was taken away from her mother over the weekend.

Child Protective Services took the girl from her home and the San Francisco Human Services Agency launched an investigation after the mother, Kerry Campbell, went on national television last week, boasting about treating Britney to Botox.

She had told reporters that she was simply paving a path for Britney to become a "superstar."

Kerry Campbell says she got the idea from other moms after entering Britney into beauty pageants.

Sources tell media outlets that the little girl is "doing well."
