A San Francisco teen was stabbed to death Monday night as he walked through the Ingleside neighborhood, according media reports.

At around 11 p.m., Victor Zheng, 16, was walking with a friend along Capitol and De Montfort Avenues when an Asian man came up to Zheng and punched him several times, said Officer Albie Esparza.

The suspect then ran off and Zheng and his friend followed after him as they called police. The suspect then turned around and stabbed Zheng in the chest and ran off.

The teen was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are looking for the suspect, who was only described as an Asian male, roughly 18-years-old.

"We believe it was a targeted event, because the friend was not harmed," Esparza said.

The stabbing makes it San Francisco's 12th homicide of the year. Last week, a man was shot dead outside an apartment in Potrero Hill. Police arrested Antoine Gray, 29, and Toyia Taylor, 18, in connection with the Potrero Hill shooting.

That same day, Qiong Han Chu, 30, and Feng Ping Ou, 30, were shot to death while working at a luggage and souvenir shop in Fisherman's Wharf in what police believe was a business dispute.  Police arrested Hong Ri Wu, 54, on suspicion of shooting the two victims .

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
