Stabbing Victim Takes Refuge in Bar

The bartender could be forgiven for telling the drunk banging on the door at 2:20 a.m. to get moving. But when the drunk returned five minutes later and pounded on the door with more fervor, something told the barkeep this was no joke.

Good thing he opened the door -- the man outside had been stabbed twice in the neck. A pair of suspects were seen fleeing into the night south on 11th street. The drunk -- as drunks do -- could not articulate much for the police.

The police would only discreetly give the incident location as the 300 block of 11th street -- and there are a lot of bars on the 300 block of 11th street. None of them have yet seen fit to return our messages.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Troy Dangerfield said it is not known what the man was stabbed with, though a "knife of some sort" is suspected. It is uncertain if the victim was fleeing the suspects when he first banged on the window or had already been attacked. It is also not known if the victim and suspects were acquainted or if this was even a robbery -- perhaps the stabbing was simply an end in and of itself.

The incident is currently being investigated by the police Criminal Investigative Unit. The 30-year-old victim spent the night in General Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
