U.S. Customs and Border Protection is announcing it nabbed two alleged sex offenders at San Francisco Airport after the American citizens' separate flights from the Philippines touched down.

The first man was arrested last Monday on a warrant out of Washington State. The second man was booked on Friday -- he was wanted in Santa Clara County for "alleged aggravated sexual assault of a minor and continuing abuse of a minor."

San Francisco Police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said the second

man has been booked into San Mateo County Jail. The whereabouts of the

first man are not immediately evident.

Reached this morning, Officer Ed Low of the San Francisco office of

Customs and Border Protection declined to release more information. So the

identities of the two men, why they were in the Philippines, and if

these cases are somehow related remain unknown at this time.

Update, 11:25 p.m.: Sergeant Michael Rodriguez of the SFPD notes that both alleged sex offenders were booked into San Mateo County Jail, where they remain. Names have not yet been released.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
