Gerard Rivera, the young San Franciscan accused of stabbing a man multiple times in a Dolores Park mob attack, will be charged for his alleged crimes today.

Rivera, whom police believe was the only man wielding a knife in the predawn July 31 attack that left a 40-year-old Asian man near death, will be arraigned on four counts:

Attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree robbery, and receiving and/or buying stolen property.

Rivera is charged with leading a group of several young people who set upon the as-yet unidentified San Franciscan as he walked through Dolores Park at around 1:30 a.m. The victim was stabbed, beaten, and robbed. The attack left him in critical condition; according to the office of the Medical Examiner, he is still living.

Rivera was arrested on Aug. 3 along with two other young Hispanic men connected to the robbery. Police told SF Weekly at the time, however, that only one knife was used to stab the victim, and they believe Rivera was the man using that knife.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
