If the San Francisco Giants play a two-game set against Arizona in Taiwan -- well, which one is the home team?

Major League Baseball has a while to work out who would wear gray and who dons the home whites if Giants and Diamondbacks players approve a league plan to open the 2011 season in Taiwan.

The San Jose Mercury News is reporting a number of details not relating to uniform color. Players union exec Gene Orza apparently told the Giants about the Taiwan plan nearly two weeks ago while the team was in Washington. The team's itinerary would include a couple of exhibitions against the Chinese Taipei national squad before a pair of regular-season contests vs. Arizona -- in late March.

This is well before "opening day" -- and, in fact, the team would then head back to Scottsdale, Ariz. for another week of spring training prior to the regular season commences in April. There's extra money in it for the players due to the additional competition and travel time. A vote is expected in August.

Taiwanese teams have captured 17 Little League World Series championships; Big-League Taiwanese players include Washington's Chien-Ming Wang and Los Angeles' Hong-Chih Kuo, both pitchers.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
