  • Tennis pro and crystal master David Mark Clark, accused of SUV rampage
David Mark Clark, the "spiritualist tennis pro" accused of running down four San Francisco cyclists in a six-minute rampage, will be in court this morning for an arraignment. He will be charged with four counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon (to wit: a car), and three counts of battery causing serious injury.

This bizarre story only grew more unusual when the 39-year-old Clark's past was revealed: A bio of him posted at a spiritualist website (which has been purged, but you can still read the cache here) lists him as "a Reiki Master, Priest in the Order of Melchezidek, and Crystal therapist. Here's Clark's full bio from the site:

David Clark is a Reiki Master, Priest in the Order of Melchezidek, and Crystal therapist. After an energetic awakening in 2006, David has committed his life to the service of others through healing. He has been highly successful in treating a wide range of ailments, from stress related disorders, to arthritis, to those seeking a higher level of wellness in their lives.

Vibrational Energy Therapy (V.E.T.) brings wellness through a clearing of stagnant energies and a revitalization of the physical, etheric, emotional and mental fields of the body through a raising of the body's vibrational level.

Raising the vibration of the body is one of the best ways to release any dense, static energies, as well as prevent any future blockages from occurring. Space is created in the body and it becomes lighter, with an open, balanced flow of energy moving from head to toe. This brings complete circulation and harmony in the body, a well -known attribute of wellness.

V.E.T. works through the chakras, meridians, and nadis. After Clearing, high-frequency energy is channeled into the body by David, filling the entire human energy system with Healing Light.

" The sessions with Dave have been like a cleansing of my body and mind"-Julia E., Cancer patient

"During each session, I experience a huge release of negative emotions and leave each session with a sense of calm, peace and joy. I feel energized for days!"-Krista, neurological lyme

Fees for V.E.T.- 1 hour session-85$/ 90minute session-110$

Clark, a skilled tennis teacher, also maintained a "Dave Clark Tennis" page. "Discover the joys of tennis!" it read.

This is going to be an interesting trial.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
