There's something to be said for becoming a tourist in your own city. For instance, let's say you jumped on The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill bandwagon five years late and were like, "Let's go climb that staircase in North Beach!" And just when you're wondering what the hell the people who live adjacent to that staircase do when they, say, buy a new mattress, you stumble upon this gem.

Not only has someone taken the time to decorate the area surrounding this fire hydrant, they've used it as a forum to espouse their love for the teacup poodle. "No dogs (teacup poodles OK)." Because teacup poodles aren't dogs, m'kay? They're people. And you would know that if you spent some time gazing into their soulful, beady, brown eyes.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
