Dreary weather required a rally urging the county clerk's office to receive same sex marriage licenses to be relocated from the steps of City Hall to the interior of the building. Organized by Marriage Equality USA, a roster of speakers addressed a small, damp crowd. Supporters stood behind the podium holding pieces of The Love Quilt aloft, an installation initiated by the organization in 2007 that tells the stories of same-sex married couples via words and images stitched onto fabric.

The second half of the rally was slated to take place in the rotunda, where a group of musicians dressed in traditional bride and groom attire warmed up to play music for a dance performance by Love Everywhere.

More shots from the event after the jump.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
