Yesterday, SF Weekly reported an increase in robberies near the St. Mary's Park area, where in one case a lone gunman approached a man from behind, taking his cell phone and cash.

Now police are alerting Ingleside District residents about an abrupt uptick in commercial robberies, with at least three in the last four days, according to police.

Why?

"No idea," says Sgt. Jim Miller.

Police were tight-lipped about the details of each case, only saying that the victims are small neighborhood grocery stores and the suspects have been described as younger Hispanic and Black men.

Stay tuned for more details.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
