A young man who went by the memorable names of Miriah or Mariah Qualls found dead Friday in his SRO hotel room was a murder victim, according to the San Francisco Police.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Qualls was found Friday by a worker in the midst of pest abatement at the Golden Eagle Hotel at 402 Broadway. Qualls autopsy indicated that he had suffered "a fatal blow."
He is the city's first homicide since William Quinn was stabbed to death on Nov. 30 in the Cadillac Market on Hyde and Eddy, allegedly by Patrick Sullivan, who was arrested on the scene.
