The San Francisco Medical Examiner has identified the man found stabbed to death in the parking lot of Kezar Stadium in the wee hours Wednesday morning and notified his family, which resides in California.

The man is 31-year-old Robert Matas, who had no known San Francisco address. Other news reports had incorrectly identified him as Robert Matats.

Matas is the city's 21st homicide victim this year and first since a pair of men were killed within hours of one another in Bayview on May 31.
