Suspect to SFPD: 'I'll Admit It, I Am Drunk'

Oh, dear. It seems some amiable fellow threw back a few too many beers and was subsequently picked up by the cops. I can't really make this story any funnier than the arrest report, reproduced below.

04/30/09        1:45 am                                 32nd Avenue and Noriega

Officers ... stopped a vehicle that was being driven with two flat tires. The driver was quite intoxicated and stated that he had ingested four beers at one bar and four beers at another. He then asked the officers, "Did I run somebody over?" The driver, who lives on the 1600 block of 42nd Avenue, failed field sobriety tests and then stated "I'll admit, I am drunk". He was arrested for drunk driving. Case #090449010

So, if you were run over anywhere near 32nd Avenue and Noriega yesterday, the SFPD have got your guy.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
