San Francisco's favorite scribe of accessible romance texts, Danielle Steel, has a personal blog. She has penned a total of three posts between the dates of Oct 29 and Nov 5, the first of which is imaginatively titled "My First Blog Post." Let's look at an excerpt, shall we?

This is an important moment for me! This is the first blog I’ve ever written. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but wasn’t sure how to do it, where, when, or even if. [This is an obstacle I confront almost every day.-aw] And finally, now here I am. People say that blogs are like a diary [Who are these people?] (do I hide it under my bed, lock it with a key? Tell it all my secrets? [No, no and yes.] It seems like a wonderful place to share my thoughts with you, or what I do.) It’s going to be fun sharing my thoughts with you, outside the context of a book. So here goes….

Steel then launches fearlessly into a discussion of age, musing, "So why is it that we always think we’re the wrong age? What if we are really the right age?"

If you found yourself driven to distraction on Halloween, wondering what Danielle Steel could possibly be disguised as, look no further than blog post number two:

Okay, guess—-what I am going to be this year? A fairy princess? Dracula? Little Bo Peep? Wonderwoman? NO!!!…..I’m going to be a whoopee cushion for Halloween. I love the costume! And to make matters worse, I am going to have a remote controlled device in the pocket to add the sound effects.

From the histrionic "NO!!!" to "sound effects", this particular post could not possibly be filled with more awesome. On to entry number three - "Gratitude."

I want to put in a word here for something that I think is enormously important: gratitude. It makes an incredible difference in one’s life — especially when you feel the least grateful! When times are tough, and things are going wrong, if you can bring yourself to be grateful for something, a meal, a friend, a pet, a moment, your favorite pair of shoes,[Your favorite mansion! -aw] or your feet to put in them, it can turn everything around.

Steel then admits that she is seriously addicted -- to cheering people up. You know you have a problem when you nurse your vices in secret.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
