Election 2008 just got a little bit livelier with the announcement of John McTaint's campaign, which kicked off yesterday with the bold promise of a free barrel of light, sweet crude oil for every legal American family:

Potential supporters may show their McTainted love (and donate towards the goal of sending the man and the Bay Area-based team that built this brilliant political parody to the DNC and RNC) at the official campaign launch party, which is free and takes place on Thursday from 8 p.m. to midnight at House of Shields.

Loren Coleman over at Cryptomundo, posted a press release stating that DNA and photographic evidence of the existence of Bigfoot will be presented in Palo Alto Friday afternoon. The hullabaloo follows the discovery of what some claim is the corpse of the mythical beast in northern Georgia.

From the press release:

The creature is seven feet seven inches tall.

It weighs over five hundred pounds.

The creature looks like it is part human and part ape-like.

It is male.

It has reddish hair and blackish-grey eyes.

It has two arms and two legs, and five fingers on each hand and

five toes on each foot.

Link to the whole post here and here's a post full of all kinds of grainy photo enlargements that legends are made of. Believe!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
