Fun With Campaign Mail: Migden for ... Assembly??

Posted By on Tue, May 27, 2008 at 3:34 PM

Well, you can't blame Carole Migden for this one: The California State Council of Service Employees (SEIU) sent out this campaign mailer last week urging people to vote for Migden "Democrat for Assembly." Problem is Migden is running for re-election to the state senate. If that weren't bad enough, the mailer also takes at swipe at one of Migden's opponents, saying, "Join SEIU in OPPOSING Joe Nation for Assembly." Whoever is doing SEIU's mail should seriously consider getting a fact checker. -- Will Harper

Another scan of the mailer after the jump.

Sorry this isn't the clearest image ... some letters were harmed in the making of this scan. Still, you should be able to see the screwups. (Note: Click the photo to enlarge.)

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
