Cosco Busan Pilot Looking Shady

Posted By on Thu, Apr 3, 2008 at 11:20 AM

Perhaps you recall a few months ago when meatpacking worker Daniel Navarro was arrested for animal cruelty in a case that resulted in the nation's largest beef recall. It came to my attention then that Navarro (small pic) looked like he was churned out of a shady criminal factory. In this picture from today's Chronicle, Cosco Busan pilot John Cota is looking equally suspicious. My advice to Navarro, Cota and all of you who may find yourselves embroiled in a high profile court case: loose the shades. It makes you look like you’re going out for a supporting role in a bank heist movie from 1974.(Navarro pic from Chino Police Department, Cota pic from Reuters)-Andy Wright

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
