Gridskipper: Getting Bloody In The Bay Area

Posted By on Mon, Feb 25, 2008 at 8:30 AM

It's all about blood over at Gridskipper, and no matter how you like it, they've probably got something for you. For the messier, hands-on crowd there's "consensual bloodshed" at the East Bay Fight Night and a little rub-a-dub-blood at Bondage-A-Go-Go's Blood Wrestling night. For those who like they're blood a little tidier and more sterile, there's artist Jordan Eagles' New Blood Paintings on display at the Mark Wolfe Contemporary gallery and blood donation at the American Red Cross. And finally, for people who like their blood symbolic, there's always Catholic Mass. (via Gridskipper)

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
