Oh No-varies! Women Can't Be President

The aptly named Dick Marple published a thought-provoking editorial in Wednesday's Concord Monitor. Granted, the thought put into the article itself was minimal and the thoughts it provoked were kind of homicidal (mine). Marple spells it all out in the headline: Legally, a woman can't be president. Oh, shit! His reasoning? "The language is clear," Marple writes, " The 19th Amendment says: "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex." Dang, Hillary, you couldn't double check the Constitution before running for office? (click 'more')

He goes on to crap out this nugget of wisdom:

"Today's feminists believe the election process is an evolutionary process, legalized by common practice and that someday a woman will be president. They are convinced that since women have run for the office, the male-gendered presidential office has been neutered."

Male-gendered? Neutered? Uh, vagina dentata much, Dick? Marple then assures all us feminists that the day a woman tries to shimmy her way into the highest office, he'll see us in the Supreme Court. Apparently Marple isn't aware that there are a couple of bitches on the bench.–Andy Wright

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
