How cool is this: Saturday, Feb. 23rd is the Chinese New Year Treasure Hunt 2008, an "urban sleuthing adventure" played out on the streets of Chinatown, North Beach and Telegraph Hill -- the same night as the annual Chinese New Year Parade.

Here's how it all breaks down: created by veteran Private Investigator Jayson Wechter, teams have four hours to solve sixteen clues, and of course, knowledge of San Francisco's history, geography and current events are useful skills to have. Sign up now before it's too late! (via Laughing Squid)

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
