Forbidden LEGO: Using a Children's Toy like the Unabomber

Posted By on Fri, Dec 14, 2007 at 9:00 AM

Fuck race cars and space fighters. Watching your 10 year-old cousin construct some lame house with LEGOs will not prepare him for the harsh world ahead of him. The San Francisco-based publisher No Starch Press released "Forbidden LEGO: Build the Models Your Parents Warned You Against" last August and it's been building up higher and higher on the charts. Toss the instructions for that stupid helicopter and make yourself a Fully Automatic LEGO Plate Gun. Right now you can get a copy before Xmas for under 17 bucks at Amazon. —James Y Lee

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
