Bernal Heights Shooting Last Night

Posted By on Thu, Dec 6, 2007 at 12:44 PM

Bernal may be on the up and up, but shit can still get rough after dark. So rough, no one calls the cops after shots are fired, and the victim just calls a cab-ulance.

This just in from our sources:

"... shooting occurred around 1:45 a.m. on Thursday morning (12/6/07) and was reported by the victim to be on the Alemany Housing grounds (Bernal Heights area). The victim, a 54 yr. old Black male, reported that he was walking through the Alemany Projects to his residence up the hill on Justin. He said that he heard shots and saw several people running around on the grounds. He realized that he had been shot. He reported that he walked up the hill to his residence then he called a cab to transport him to St. Luke's hospital. He was transferred from St. Luke's to SFGH ED for treatment. SFGH contacted SFPD. The SFPD officers interviewed the victim at the hospital. There were no reports of shots being fired in the area that the victim reported, and SFPD did not locate any casings or establish a crime scene in the area. The victim was being treated for wounds to the left biceps, right arm, and 2 wounds to the chest area.. He was reported to be in stable condition."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
