*To the 372 alert people who sent e-mails accusing SFWeekly of copying SFist's "Day Around The Bay" feature: 1) Sorry. 2) Editor Matt Stroud hadn't seen the SFist feature, and constructed a one-off news summary of some weird and particularly vile stories he had found around the Bay that day. 3) The "copying" was unintentional and won't be repeated. 4) Again, sorry.

Cuddle up with The Snitch for a roundup of today's fucked up (and interestingly weird) news!

"San Francisco cop accused of sex with 14-year-old girl" (San Joe Mercury News)

" Sgt. Donald Forte, 58, a 37-year-veteran of the San Francisco department, was charged by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office with a felony count of lewd act on a child 14 or 15 by someone at least 10 years older. If convicted, Forte faces up to three years in prison and must register as a sex offender. He could not be reached for comment. Forte, a motorcycle squad supervisor, posted $138,000 bail after his arrest Thursday night. Forte appeared in court Monday for arraignment but did not enter a plea. He asked that the proceeding be continued until July 2 so he can hire an attorney, authorities said. "

"Person Hit By BART Train In San Francisco" (CBS5)

"A person who was struck today by a Bay Area Rapid Transit train on a platform at Balboa Park Station in San Francisco was extracted and taken to San Francisco General Hospital, a fire dispatcher said."

"DOG POOP POWER FOR SAN FRANCISCO" (Inhabitat)

"6,500 tons of dog poop is produced in the San Francisco Bay Area every year. Rather than view this waste as a problem, San Francisco’s waste management contractor, Norcal Waste, saw this as an opportunity for the already environmental city to go a bit greener. Since January 2006, Norcal has been collecting dog feces throughout the city and now has dog-waste collection carts with biodegradable bags set up in Duboce Park, one of city’s most popular dog parks."

"5th San Francisco Sex Worker Film and Arts Festival" (IndyBay)

"The Festival will take place from July 14th-22nd, with films at the Roxie including: 'Otras Vias' about Latin American immigrant prostitutes in Germany who emerge from their stereotypes as 'helpless victims' to discuss the possibilities of resistance in their everyday lives. 'Begging Naked' which allows a glimpse at the effects of Guiliani's repressive sex industry polices on one woman's life as she survives homelessness, drug addiction, prostitution, mental illness, all in the context of her incredible life as an artist; and 'The Railroad Allstars,' (2006) by Producer/Director Chema Rodriguez, in which three Guatemalan prostitutes establish a football team to publicize the condition of their lives in 'La Linea.'"

"Director Seeks Fake Date for Real Movie Premeire?" (slashfilm.com)

"Someone has posted on craigslist claiming to be a director looking for a date to a big hollywood movie premiere which is happening the last week of June. You can read the posting below followed by our thoughts on which director it could be (if this is in fact real)"

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
