A rogue Oakland fire department "agent" went on a bogus shutdown of Leo's Music Club in Oakland on Friday night, according to this detailed report from CBS Bay Area's Alyssa Pereira. The venue has cancelled tonight's performance from SF-cum-L.A. garage rock classic, Thee Oh Sees, citing "the safety of our patrons, employees and artists," in a FaceBook post. We'll dive into some of these details below, but all bummed out parties should direct themselves to tomorrow night's Thee Oh Sees show at Great American Music Hall, as there is no word on whether or not a replacement show is scheduled for tonight at a different venue yet.

Last week, Morrissey canceled the remaining dates of his current U.S. tour, including two San Francisco shows at the Warfield and Regency Ballrom, due to medical issues including bleeding ulcer, Barrett's esophagus, and double pneumonia.

These are the fifth and sixth consecutive Bay Area shows Morrissey has canceled in the last three years, having not played the region since December 2009. Fans, judging by the comment sections on our posts, are either utterly hopeless, furious, or both. So they should like the new stickers from local merch-maker SubliminalSF, which offer a simple, straight-ahead message to the former Smiths singer:

Morrissey canceled Saturday's show at S.F.'s Regency Ballroom -- his fourth sequential cancelation in the Bay Area -- because he was hospitalized with double pneumonia, according to reports.

After battling a bladder infection, a bleeding ulcer, and Barrett's esophagus in recent weeks -- and then announcing that he was on the mend -- the 53-year-old former Smiths singer called off yet another San Francisco show, after reportedly being rushed to the hospital. He's now set to play the Warfield on April 30 and the Regency on May 1.

Dear Morrissey, Will You Ever Actually Make it to San Francisco?

Dear Morrissey,

If a double-decker bus crashed into us right now, we almost would be happy to die by your side -- not because we think vehicular slaughter is "such a heavenly way to die," but rather because the shock of seeing your face in this fair city of ours would be enough to bring on sudden death regardless. At the rate things are going, we just can't help but feel that the stages of San Francisco will never be graced with your miserable, warbling presence ever again. And honestly we kind of miss your sad little hound-dog face, dude. There's just something so darn comforting about it.

  • V-Nasty: Not performing next week at Slim's.

If anyone still thinks that Kreayshawn associate, Gucci Mane collaborator, and Oakland A's fan V-Nasty was just fronting about her rough-and-tumble background and years spent in and out of juvie and jail, this should shut them up: V-Nasty just canceled her S.F. show at Slim's next week, and indeed all of her upcoming live dates. The reason, according to her publicist? "Probation issues."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
