People all over the world will join in and form a love train, love train.

The 79th Stern Grove Festival lineup is out, and the O'Jays are part of it: Aug. 7, to be exact. Every Sunday from June 19 through August 21, deep in the nasturtium-filled crevasse that is Stern Grove, there will be free amazing music and grassy good cheer at 2 p.m. Kicking things off on Juneteenth is none other than the android-dating, tux-clad Janelle Monáe.

The June 19 lead-off is the Big Picnic, a concert and benefit pairing Monáe and the Bay Area's California soul group Midtown Social (benefit at 11 a.m., concert at 2 p.m.). From there, the season continues on as usual, focusing on pop acts new and old, with requisite performances from the San Francisco Symphony and Ballet — except this year, there's a conspicuously large number of awesome African-American acts. Make sure to get there early, cause the groves does fill up.

The full schedule:

June 19 – Janelle Monáe and Midtown Social
June 26 – George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, and Bayonics
July 3 – Hieroglyphics, and dance crews Mix’d Ingrdnts and Golden State Breakers
July 10 – San Francisco Symphony
July 17 – Joan Osborne’s Soul Revue, and John Brothers Piano Company
July 24 – Julieta Venegas and La Misa Negra
July 31 – San Francisco Ballet with Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson
August 7 – The O’Jays and MJ’s Brass Boppers*
August 14 – ATOMIC BOMB! The Music of William Onyeabor feat Jamie Lidell, Luke Jenner, Money Mark, Sinkane, and More and Afrolicious

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
