UPDATED: City Hall Will Turn Purple Tonight

Following a Facebook post from FunCheap SF and a flurry of tweets, including one from Mayor Ed Lee, City Hall's outdoor lights will be changed to purple tonight in honor of Prince.  News of his passing spread this morning, Thursday, April 21, when the 57-year-old's body was found at his Paisley Park house and recording studio in Minnesota. 

The idea to turn City Hall purple came from local writer Eve Batey, who posted the following on Twitter:
