The 10-day, 24th annual Noise Pop Music Festival just announced a handful of new acts to their lineup. The festival, which starts on Feb. 19 and runs until Feb. 28, will now feature sets by: Michigan producer, Sango; Bay Area rapper, Antwon; Belgian DJ and producer, The Magician; and a mysterious few "others." They'll be joining other great acts, like Vince Staples, Kamasi Washington, Metric, American Football, The Mountain Goats, and Carly Rae Jepsen. The festival has also added a slew of films, presented in collaboration with SF IndieFest. For more info, check out:

Sam Smith, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd have earned Oscar nominations for Best Original Song. Sam Smith is nominated for "Writings On The Wall" from Spectre; Lady Gaga for "Til It Happens To You" from The Hunting Ground; and The Weeknd for "Earned It" from 50 Shades of Grey. (Editor's note: Based on the rate at which "Earned It" was played on the radio, the Oscar nomination should come as no surprise). The 88th annual Academy Awards ceremony takes place Sunday, Feb. 28.

Donald Trump now has an official theme song. "The Official Donald Trump Jam," as it is called, was performed at a Pensacola, Florida rally on Jan. 13 by a trio of tweens calling themselves The Freedom Girls. The simplistic, pop-bop song places Trump on a pedestal, as evidenced by the line: "President Donald Trump knows how / to make America great / do from strength or get crushed every time." The song sucks by many standards, and yet, it's been watched over two million times on YouTube already. Join the masses and watch it below.

Watch the trailer for Spike Lee's Michael Jackson biopic, Michael Jackson's Journey From Motown To Off The Wall. The film, which airs on Showtime on Feb. 5, features performance footage of the singer, who died in 2009, and interviews with famous musicians, including The Weeknd and Questlove. "I always use Michael first and foremost as a vocal inspiration," The Weeknd says in the film. "And Off The Wall was definitely the one that made me feel like I could sing. I found my falsetto because of Off The Wall."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
