So, what did we learn this week? We learned that Gwen Stefani can't fake cry to save her life, religion should never be brought into fundraising exercises (even if you do happen to have a giant Star of David lying around), Justin Bieber should be able to go outside naked, and there were occasions when Paris Hilton, Travis Barker, and Suge Knight all used to party together. No, really.

Here are the quotes of the week:

“I sell records in countries where gay men get killed and that’s a big thing for me, because maybe one person in that country will pick up my album, realize it’s by a gay artist, and it might change their opinion."
Massive high five, Sam Smith! (NME)

Miley Cyrus performed at James Franco's Bar Mitzvah (a fundraiser for Hilarity For Charity) and all she got was an argument about Israel on her Instagram page:

“She must have been a little gone off a few drinks… But when she started petting my hair, that's when I was like, 'I definitely need a drink.'"
The Weeknd on the time he met Taylor Swift and she did stereotypical white people things. (US Weekly)

"Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated."
Zendaya’s cooler than we thought she was:

“I am aware that it could easily not have happened. That I could have become... an American nightmare. I see her — Lana — I listen to her and watch her, and I’m... protective.”
Well, Lana Del Rey, anyone who talks about themselves in the third person is an American nightmare as far as we're concerned... (Billboard)

"Paris [Hilton] and I had been seeing each other and in the middle of partying, being drunk and high Suge [Knight] was just like, 'Y’all need to get married! I’m gonna marry you.' It was like all of our friends around us and Suge wasn’t really a pastor but it was like a hood marriage. It was pretty cool."
Was it, Travis Barker? Really? (NME

Fred Armisen just translated Blur’s ultra-British “Parklife” into words people in L.A. understand:

"My first thing was like… how can they do this? Like, I feel super violated. Like, I feel like I can't step outside and feel like I can go outside naked."
Don't worry, Justin Bieber, most other people can't go outside naked either... (Access Hollywood)

“25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realizing it. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened.”
Adele is back, y’all. (Twitter)

And finally, here’s some footage of Gwen Stefani trying and failing to move her eyebrows:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
