It's Anthony Ferraro's day to take over the Internet. This cover of one of Elton John's finest was first heard live at Astronauts, etc.'s record release show at Rickshaw Stop — a show that had Chaz from Toro y Moi spinning 70's funk in between sets. Listen to their synthy-smooth version below which comes complete with an epitome of chill bass line.

On top of suddenly releasing this secret cover, Astronauts, etc.'s debut album, Mind Out Wandering, is streaming a week before its official release date over at Hype Machine. Originally a bedroom project conceived by the classically trained pianist Anthony Ferraro, the Astronauts, etc. is now a 5-piece with members of the East Bay's non-market collective: Bells Atlas, Waterstrider, Perhapsy. The band is slated to go on full US tour with Toro y Moi starting next week.

Mind Out Wandering will be out 9/18 via Hit City U.S.A.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
