Rihanna's Vengeful "Bitch Better Have My Money" Video Is Everything You Have Ever Wanted

Rihanna's new video for "Bitch Better Have My Money," which opens with bloody female legs sticking out of a trunk, flips the script on the media's portrayal of women by slowly revealing to the viewer that (spoiler alert) instead of just being another image representing a slasher flick-esque damsel in distress, the blood belongs to an accountant that cheated Rihanna out of some serious money.

The very NSFW video involves Rihanna toying with that idea — kidnapping a wealthy woman, dragging her around the desert, and hanging her upside in abandoned warehouses, periodically calling the accountant on the phone in an attempt to collect a ransom. He doesn't bite, so Rihanna does. She takes her beef directly to the accountant (identified as "the bitch" by some subtitles that are quickly flashed on the screen), tying him up in his living room and torturing him with a Dexter-like toolset of blades, each labeled things like "cheater" or "deadbeat dad."

It's graphic, uncomfortable, and edgy — which makes for a damn good video. The opening and closing shots are the perfect bookends, and explanations, for what viewers witness in the highly GIF-able, "click here if you're over 18" video.

Complex noted that the video may be a fantasy related to an actual lawsuit Rihanna's launched against her former accountant in 2012. According to the suit, Peter Gournis (Rihanna's ex-accoutant) cost the pop star $9 million in bad financial decisions and kept an unfair chunk of Rihanna's touring profits (22 percent as compared to Rihanna's 6 percent) for himself.

But with a dash of slapstick humor thrown in for good measure, the video is also just about as light-hearted as you can get while depicting a storyline that involves kidnapping and torture. And the video pretty much has everything the masses could ask for: sex, oblivious police officers, bong rips, murder, and Rihanna lying naked on a bed of cash. The only complaint I have about "Bitch Better Have My Money" is that the pool scene literally melted my screen, and now I'll have to ask the IT guy to find me a new one.
