Mas Ysa, the Canadian electro-pop artist who released the catchy single "Margarita" yesterday, has been added to the Phono del Sol lineup.

The song is great to listen to while daydreaming about eating a beautiful, fully baked California Pizza Kitchen margherita pizza. Oh what? That's not what this bouncy pop tune is about? Fine, whatever. I suppose I'll have to buy Ysa's upcoming debut LP Seraph out July 24 on Downtown Records to find out more.

Phono del Sol Music & Food Festival, which takes place Saturday, July 11, 2015, also features national acts Tanlines, King Tuff, Generationals, Vérité, and Marriages. Local acts are Sonny & The Sunsets, Everyone Is Dirty, The Tropics, Tiaras, and Scary Little Friends.

Because it's a party, and this is San Francisco, there will be a ton of food trucks at the event ready to bankrupt you when you get hungry in between bands, including Bacon Bacon, Ebbett's Good to Go, Hella Vegan Eats (I thought they were busy doing a residency at 1-2-3-4 Go!?), Little Red Riding Truck, Mozzeria Pizzeria (I wonder if they serve Mas Ysa singles?), Post Street Creamery, Sajj Street Eats, and Tacos San Buena.

You'll also be able to get drunk via Buffalo Club and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, who will be offering "their singular takes on classic cocktails," whatever the fuck that means. Basically, there will be good music, food, and booze in the Mission District's Potrero del Sol Park.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
