Having become a go-to record label for punk and hardcore fans, Berkeley-based Pure Noise Records continues to put out an impressive catalog from its signature acts. And this week the folks at the label teased their followers with singles from two pop-punk titans: The Story So Far and Four Year Strong.

The label-mates are not only gearing up for their albums, but a joint tour as well. They hit the road May 1 with hardcore legends Terror and emo, indie rockers Souvenirs in Santa Ana, and end the month-and-a-half-long stretch at The Fillmore June 13.

The Story So Far, from Walnut Creek, released its third single Sunday from its self-titled full-length album due out May 18. The track "Heavy Gloom" is a bouncy, mid-tempo song for the band. The drum and bass section is low and heavy. But as you would expect, the guitars are rich and melodic. The track follows singles "Nerve" and "Solo," all of which seem to lyrically revolve around a failed relationship, a little heartache and a lot of passion. Check out "Heavy Gloom" below.

As for Four Year Strong, the Massachusetts band signed with Pure Noise last year. The upcoming self-titled album due out June 2 is the band's second record with the label. The first single released Monday, "I'm A Big, Bright, Shining Star," is an aggressive effort. The track starts with metal-core guitar riffs, continues with two-step beats and dueling vocals. The song plays with climactic choruses featuring gang-vocals to encourage fans to sing along. And of course, it wouldn't be a Four Year Strong track without a chuggy breakdown and harmonized guitars. Give the jam a listen:

The Story So Far plays with Four Year Strong, Terror and Souvenirs June 13 at the Fillmore. 8 p.m. $22.50.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
