Ride have proven that, even after a 20-year absence, there are still droves of fans who will line up for advance ticket sales. The shoegaze and indie-pop merchants had all the makings of a superstar act back in the day, with all four of their records charting in the Top 25 in the UK and the band making waves across multiple countries. However, when the band imploded after the release of Tarantula in 1996, fans knew it would take an act of God to get the band to ever play live again.

Thankfully, as the band aged so did their member's collective temperaments and the influential shoegazing act will finally embark on a series of shows centered around the annual Coachella gathering.

One of those shows is this Monday, April 13, at the Warfield.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
