Greetings From Your New All Shook Down Editor

Dear All Shook Down Readers,

I’m hella excited to announce that effective as of this post, I'll be your new editor here at All Shook Down.

I've actually been around SF Weekly for a long time, so you may have read some of my stuff before. If you picked up the magazine last week (like you should every week) then you may have caught my piece on WrestleMania. After proving myself in that opening bout, SF Weekly decided to give me the big push and put the title (of music editor) on me. So now I'm looking forward to defending that title every day in honor of past champions (of this blog).

I've also been writing for All Shook Down for quite some time — often contributing pieces to the great Ian Port and then later to the unstoppable Emma Silvers. But I'm excited to get my name out of the liner notes and into the artist column of your iTunes library with this new position.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
