Daylight Savings time doesn’t go into effect until Sunday, but tonight, you can squeeze out a few premature hours of psychedelic sunshine with Cool Ghouls at their tour kick-off show at The Chapel.

Cool Ghouls, who draw from the city’s current garage rock pantheon while still paying homage to San Francisco’s psychedelic past, are taking their three-pronged vocal harmonies, fuzzed out guitar,s and the sweetly infectious sounds of an Indian summer on their first tour across North America and down and around to SXSW.

Before the end of the month, the band will play 21 shows and circumnavigate North America before coming home, so catch ‘em tonight while you still can.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music starts at 9, with openers Sugar Candy Mountain and O (formerly Black Cobra Vipers). Tickets are $15.

Check out Cool Ghouls’ latest album, A Swirling Fire Burning Through the Rye, released last fall on Empty Cellar Records, and read our interview with the band here

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
