Two-Fer Tuesday: New Music Videos From Erase Errata and A-1

Posted By on Tue, Feb 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM

Need a little something to get you through the end of a sleepy Tuesday? These two new music videos from some of our finest locals oughta do it.

Erase Errata, San Francisco's terrifically rule-breaking post-punk trio that's poised to capture a whole new set of hearts after returning last month with their first record in nine years, Lost Weekend, brings us the video for the record's first single, "History of Handclaps," with a playfully angular, college art thesis vibe to match the track's dance-ready guitar hook.

And MC/producer A-1, who last caught our attention back in October with a multi-layered view on the post-Giants win celebration/destruction, brings us a new video for "Good People" — starring the good people (and streets) of San Francisco — off his forthcoming mixtape, Thurlian, due out March 5.  What other local tunes are serving as your musical caffeine today?

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
