Alright, so maybe we're jumping the gun a little here on what should be a 4:20 p.m. post, but hey, it's Friday.

Up-and-coming San Jose rapper Rey Res, who performs at Slim's tonight, released a new LP, Heart of the City, at the end of January. And now we have an appropriately stoney video for "High With Me," a chilled-out track to bump while, well, you figure out what activities to partake in while enjoying this song.

If you're running low, there will probably be some folks at Slim's tonight who could help you out. Rey will be opening for London Richards, alongside Nick Lopez;  the show starts at 8 p.m.. and tickets are $15.

Now then. Take a load off. You look stressed.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
