"I have two beautiful little girls and I'm a great father. I just feel like, basically, everyone should take care of their own. It's about governing your own household and taking care of your own property. It's about having some kind of structure."
2 Chainz went on Nancy Grace to defend weed. Because life is awesome. (HLN)

"I don’t think I can live in a world where that’s even possible. When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there’s a ginger guy with a fucking guitar. It seems subversive, but it’s fucking not."
Noel Gallagher wants to die, because Ed Sheeran is so successful. (NME)

“I can live in it, its really enjoyable”
Ed Sheeran does not give a shit. (Twitter)

"Rebekah, now you're $1,989 closer to paying off those student loans."
It's definitely not Christmas anymore, but Taylor Swift is still showering her fans with gifts. (NME)

"One grouch's trash, that's another grouch's outfit."
Macklemore’s Sesame Street version of "Thrift Shop" was, indeed, “gross and awesome”:

"If u have all "YES MEN"in crew u need to switch crews! All ya peeps won't agree with u when they have ya best interest"
Missy Elliott is the Yoda of solid hip-hop advice. (Twitter)

"I stand for girls wanting to be sexy and dance, but also having a strong sense of themselves. If you got a big ol' butt? Shake it! Who cares? That doesn't mean you shouldn't be graduating from college."
Dear girls with butts, you too can go to college. Nicki Minaj just said so. (Rolling Stone)

"Skateboarders can do anything. Let's help @DavidBaker and @Cassniki bring their stolen dog Mochi home. Their SF apt was broken into two days ago and along with their personal belongings their dog Mochi was stolen as well… I spoke with David this AM. There is a full foot search today. Let's add to it – on skateboards."
Billie Joe Armstrong and Adeline Records co-founder Jim Thiebaud just helped a local couple get their stolen dog back. Radness. (Instagram)

"Kim Fowley is a big loss to me, A good friend. One of a kind. He'd been everywhere, done everything, knew everybody… We should all have as full a life."
E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt paid tribute to Kim Fowley, who died yesterday. RIP, you legend. (Rolling Stone

And finally, Sleater Kinney got a pile of famous people to sing (badly) for the band’s new video. Here’s “No Cities to Love”:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
