As much as San Francisco guitar heroes Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin have gone on to national recognition, they're always really going to be our guitar heroes. Need proof? The first peep we've heard from the four-person Ty Segall Band (which also includes Emily Rose Epstein and Charles Moothart) since 2012 is none other than a live album recorded during a show at the Rickshaw Stop earlier this year.

The band will release the new LP on Castle Face next Jan. 26, as part of the label's Live in San Francisco series, engineered by the big boss John Dwyer himself. After the jump, here's a tease of Track 10, "What's Inside Your Heart," via Pitchfork.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
