Sandy's is the new project of Bay Area denizen Alexi Glickman, a musician who spent time playing and recording with the Botticellis and Little Wings before recently striking out on his own as Sandy's. Today brings the first track from Sandy's upcoming album, Fourth Dementia, entitled "Yuba Diamond." It's a blissful, reverb-soaked rush of feeling, all open chords and twilight madness. Fourth Dementia, the album, was recorded with members of Sonny and the Sunsets, Vetiver, Tortured Genies and more in various places around S.F., and is out June 3 on Um Yeah Arts, the new collective from visual artist Thomas Campbell. Check out "Yuba Diamond" below:

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
