"Tonight was amazing. Thank you to everyone who participated in my journey to the Oscars. Dream come true."
Pharrell, being significantly less annoyed than the rest of us about his not winning the Oscar for Best Original Song (Twitter)

"PHARRELL WAS ROBBED ...That is all"
That's more like it, Pusha T (Twitter)

"I'm honored to be able to pay my respects to Freddie's memory; he's a personal hero of mine, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to sing such powerful music for fans of this legendary band."
Adam Lambert is going to be Queen's frontman for an entire tour this summer.

"I went to her show, which was amazing. It is very colorful -- I mean that in all ways. And she had this one part where it's like a kiss cam and I just walked up to her to give her, like, a friendly, girlie kiss -- as girls do -- and then she tried to turn her head to go deeper and I pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been!"
Katy Perry is clearly regretting her Miley Cyrus smooch... (Australian breakfast show, Sunrise)

"Girl, if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we all know where that [tongue's] been"
We're not sure if the ex boo in question is John Mayer or Russell Brand, but sweet burn, Miley Cyrus (Twitter)

"I do think this is what spurred Bernard into getting New Order back -- is that he toured with Bad Lieutenant and couldn't stand the shitholes. I will bet you a pound to a thousand that that's what it was."
Former New Order bassist Peter Hook thinks frontman Bernard Sumner is a prissy sissy when it comes to roughing it on the road (Gigwise)

"I'm exhausted of (more than some) people telling me how I should look or be if I want to be a 'pop star' & how they think it's okay to say vile (sexually) abusive shit to me on a daily basis over the internet... If you see hateful/disgusting/abusive comments, please start reporting it or deleting it. Use the internet as a way to connect with others & LEARN."
Sky Ferreira wants us all to just get along (Facebook)

"In your 40s and 50s, things can change in ways that upset the order of things that have been established over 25 years-plus of marriage. It's really distressing... I'm involved in a really sweet relationship and it really does make me happy... But I'll always have that experience of sadness that a separation brings, especially one that was as important, not just to me, but everybody around us... It's pretty heavy."
Thurston Moore on the affair (and current relationship) that ended his marriage to Kim Gordon. Boo-fucking-hoo, dude (The Fly)

"It was the highest honor... Those words were nothing before I put them into my laptop and started messing around with them in the studio. It's crazy to me they could come out of someone's mouth who is that respected."
Lorde, on finding out that Bruce Springsteen covered "Royals" during a recent New Zealand gig (Rolling Stone)

"I always follow what my spirit tells me to do. When I get into the studio I write from my heart. I try to write life and not songs."
And yet, R. Kelly's new album is still titled White Panties (V Magazine)

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
